iittala berlin

how lucky are we to have an iittala shop in berlin! needless to say, a treasure trove of colourful glassware and most delicately illustrated porcelain. i really love their classic, chunky candle holders made from coloured glass. some very interesting tones are in store at the moment. another high-light and great gift idea for friends who just had a baby: the moomin range. so cool! oh, and if you happen to need it yourself, or know someone who might, they also do wedding lists...

if you go and feel you need a little rest and some energy boost after your power shopping - café oliv is just across the street!

find it here: iittala shop berlin, münzstr. 7, 10178 berlin (mitte), phone 030-24 08 55 94, open mon-fri 12.00-20.00, sat 12.00-19.00, sun closed.

wow those entrance walls with plates are cool! iittala shops opened last year in tokyo too, but these "plates walls" are impossible to be done here as for the earthquakes!!!
i love that moomin cup and saucer - charming!!

Well you sure know your stuff -- gotta love those rock-solid candle holders! I've got those in brown and clear glass myself -- the brown ones give off the best glow!
Cheers, :-)
