stue

one of my favourite shops ever in berlin. stue (danish for 'living room') is specialising in furniture and living accessories from denmark. most is vintage pieces - think mid-century, sixties, seventies - but also hand-picked items from small berlin designers. you'll find a mid-century teak sofa next to a contemporary hand-made lampshade or necklaces crafted by an berlin artist. one of the things i bought here is a panton sea shell chandelier, a piece that makes me happy every time i see it - so worth every cent of its price tag.

also on offer: upholstery service for vintage furniture. take a look at the sample book, gorgeous colours and qualities. plus: a selection of vintage bang & olufsen stereos.

find it on torstr. 70, 10119 berlin (mitte), phone/fax 030-247 276 50, open mo-sat 14-19h and by appointment
