mädchenitaliener (girl's italian) - i'm afraid i can't enlighten you about the choice of name, you'll have to ask the waiter when you visit... it's a busy, small italian restaurant in mitte. be sure to book your table in advance, unless you are coming weekdays really early on. basic, no-frills dishes, medium prices, the crowd's dominated by mitte's typical media people. i love their prosciutto with mozarella and fresh fig starter.

find it on alte schönhauser str. 12, 10119 berlin (mitte), open mo-sun from 17h, kitchen open from 18h-23.30h, phone: 030-4004 1787
